Civil/Structural Engineer

Provide engineering support to multidiscipline engineering department including perform engineering calculations/evaluations/analysis of structural system including structural steel construction, reinforced concrete construction and masonry construction, prepare Solidworks models, arrangement /layout/ assembly and detail drawings, prepare AutoCAD arrangement/layout/assembly and detail drawings, prepare bulk and itemized bill of material drawings, perform field work and/or inspections in support of projects, prepare reports, proposals, installation and engineering estimates.

Requirements include: B.S. in Civil Engineering; equivalent experience and training may be considered. Must have 2 - 5 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, design and detailing in heavy industry. Proficient in engineering design and analysis citing the following code: AISC 360 - Specification for Structural Steel Buildings, ACI 318 - Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete, ACI 530 - Building Code Requirements and Specification for Masonry Structures, ASCE 7 - Minimum Design Loads of Buildings and Other Structures. Proficient with AutoCAD. Strong analytical skills. Proficient with MS office programs including Excel, Word and Outlook. Proficient with Solidworks preferred. Experience preparing reports, proposals, installation and engineering estimates a plus. Prior consulting experience a plus.

Other requirements include: Able/willing to work in the field as required for field verification, inspections and field engineering. Able/willing to work extended hours as required to support projects which may include evenings, weekends and holidays. Able to work at protected and non-protected heights, in confined spaces and be able to safely negotiate industrial stairs and ladders. Ability to work with minimal supervision and interface with all levels of personnel within CMM and with clients. Ability to lead projects and supervise designers and/or detailers. Strong verbal and writing communication skills. Strong team player. Travel within the US and overseas may be required as needed to support projects.

Surveying Assistant

Assist the surveyor in heavy industrial environments including perform field work and/or inspections in support of projects and prepare survey and inspections drawings and reports. When not assisting surveyor or performing field inspections, provide Solidworks modeling, design and drafting support to multidiscipline engineering department.

Requirements include: Associates degree in surveying technology, computer aided modeling, computer aided drafting or similar technical degree; will consider equivalent experience and training. Must have 1 - 5 years of related experience. Will consider recent graduate with co-op experience. Must be proficient with Solidworks and AutoCAD. Good working knowledge and experience with MS office programs including Excel, Word and Outlook. Previous knowledge of surveying, design, layout and/or inspection is a plus. Surveying training/courses are a plus. Prior consulting experience a plus.
